Fall Leaves Straw Hat Mini Cocktail Millinery Fascinator

Fall Leaves.
Crisp autumnal leaves scattered across the crown of a hand blocked mini hat.

I've recently started working with swiss braids and millinery straw, taking one continuous piece of braid and working it into a completely solid form, and I'm loving it!

This mini hat was hand stitched from vintage NOS millinery straw in rounds, then blocked using traditional millinery techniques involving steam and wooden hat blocks, then sized to stiffen to keep its shape and finished with a wired brim edge to maintain sturdiness.

Can be worn tilted towards the front of the head in a jaunty manner. The perfect fixed smooth dome of natural straw is the perfect seasonal compliment to the sprinkling of faux fall leaves and faux berry sprig I added to embellish it.

Perfect for harvest festivals and pumpkin and apple picking days!

Measures approx 4.25" - 11cm in diameter.

Held in place with a loop of hat elastic underneath.
